Clotile Williard

Mrs. Clotile "Clo" Warren Williard, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
Clo was born July 29, 1934 in Forsyth County to Wade and Mary Warren. She was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, kept children in the nursery, and enjoyed singing in the choir. She retired from Salem Baptist Christian School where she managed the cafeteria. She also worked for many summers in the cafeteria at Merriwood Christian Camp. Clo was a great cook and passed along her talents in the kitchen to many family and friends. In her free time, she liked family vacations and going shopping. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her large family and never forgot a birthday, calling her family members and singing "Happy Birthday" every year and started a monthly birthday club with her close friends. In addition to her parents, Clo was preceded in death by her husband, Flay E. Williard, Jr.; brothers, "Brother" and Bill Warren; and sisters, Vallie Needham and Jenny Richardson.
Clo is survived by her children, Melissa Williard of Celebration, FL, Teresa Jarvis and husband Scotty of Clemmons, Edrea Williard of Winston-Salem, Eddie Williard and wife Cindy of Kernersville, and James Williard and husband Ken of Arvada, CO; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Johnson; and dear friend, JoAnne Hughes.
A celebration of Clo's life will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6 - 8 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 429 S. Broad St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
