Clyde Johnson Broome

Clyde Johnson Broome, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2014 at Golden Living Center, Greensboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Euzeal Broome, and a grandson, Jonathan Todd Broome. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah B. Ellis (Jerry) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; a son, John D. Broome (Sherry) of Wilmington, NC; and two grandchildren, Jerry Jason Ellis and Jennifer D. Broome (Nick). Clyde served in the US Army during World War II in Italy and France and was called back to duty during the Korean War. After the wars, he enjoyed gardening, fishing on the coast, and driving 18 wheelers for a living. A private service will be held in Lumberton, NC.
