It is with great sadness we must announce that Clyde Wilson Moyer, Sr. passed away in the early morning hours at home with family on October 18, 2026.
Clyde served in the Air Force as a young man and was proud to fight for his country from 1965-1968. He was deployed to Tuy Hoa, Vietnam from 1967-1968 and earned several decorations including the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star. Following the war, he became an ordained minister in 1974. Clyde was a dutiful and faithful servant to God, who never questioned his faith. Aside from being a man of God and country, he was a devoted husband, father, and loyal friend. He was a truly exemplary person and he will be missed by so many. Taking time to sit and listen with a man like Clyde was always easy and worthwhile. We will miss hearing him retell his life's stories and experiences.
His devotion to God was steadfast and unwavering. All of his life he looked forward to walking the streets of Heaven, but never more so than after his beloved wife, Penny, departed this earth. He has now rejoined Penny, his mother, brothers, and twin sisters in Heaven. As a family, we can only imagine the celebration that is going on at the gates of Heaven!
A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is respectfully serving the family.
