Clyde Jackson Myers

Mr. Clyde Jackson Myers, 87, died on January 20, 2017, at his residence. Clyde was born in Grayson County on December 13, 1929, to Zora Sumners and Elbert Myers. He was a long time member of Ebert St. Church of Christ and retired from AT&T with 50 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and growing orchids. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Myers; two daughters, Connie Hillis (husband Ed) of Highlands, NC, and Diane Tomlinson (husband Thom) of Youngsville, NC; one son, Randy Myers (wife Mabel) of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruth Crist of Kernersville, NC, and Mildred Smoot of Winston-Salem, NC. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
