Clyde “Danny” Daniel Pless, 78, of Kernersville, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his home. He was born to the late Clyde Pless and Vallie Lovett Pless on September 30, 1947, in Forsyth County.
Danny spent over 30 years of his career as a metal fabricator at custom industries. He was a proud member of the US Army and bravely fought in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. Danny faithfully attended Pisgah United Methodist Church for many years.
He was a lifelong fan of racing and loved everything fast. Since he was 16 years old, Danny enjoyed watching the races at Bowman Gray Stadium. Throughout the years he would plan his family’s vacation around Bowman Grays by-week schedule.
Danny was very hands-on and liked to work on anything mechanical. He enjoyed spending his summers at White Lake alongside his family. He will be deeply missed and cherished by all the memories he left behind.
In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Pless; and brothers, Lewis Pless, and Larry Pless.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lenore Boles Pless; son, Todd Pless (Tammy); grandchildren, Brandon Pless, Olivia Pless, and Scarlett Pless; and great-grandchild, Aidan Pless.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 2:00pm at Pisgah United Methodist Church following the service. Officiating the service is Pastor Bill Adams.
