Clyde Vernon Womble, Sr.

Winston-Salem, Mr. Clyde Vernon Womble, Sr., 75 died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Womble was born in Forsyth County of August 2, 1932 the son of the late Hubert and Evanelle Newsome Womble. Mr. Womble was also preceded in death by a sister Nell Hall and a grandson Christian Womble. Surviving is his wife of 55 years JoAnn Womble, a daughter Deanna Joyce, two sons Keith Womble and wife Debbie and Clyde Womble, Jr. and wife Kim, five grandchildren, LeeAnn Smith, Andrew Womble, Candace Winfrey, Brooke Joyce and Brittany Joyce, four great grandchildren Isaac Smith, Gavin Smith, Landon Womble and Ethan Womble. A private Memorial Service will be held Saturday July 26, 2008 in Bakersville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 PM today, Friday July 18, 2008 at their home. Memorial Donations are requested to be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. The Womble family wish to express a special thank you to Jill and Cassandra and the Staff of the Critical Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center for all their loving care and support during these past weeks.
