Cody Lee Freeman

Winston-Salem- Mr. Cody Lee Freeman, 35, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, at his residence. He was born March 25, 1991, in Forsyth County, the son of Gordon Freeman and Vicki Jamison Freeman. He was a 2009 graduate of Glenn High School and attended The Summit Church. He was employed by Champion Industries and was a member of Teamsters Local 391. Cody enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball. A great Dad, he was a loving and thoughtful person who was quiet, but still the life of the party. Devoted to his family, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John “Frank” and Lorena Freeman and his maternal grandparents, Russell and Doris Jamison. Left to cherish his memory is his soulmate, Shana Sizemore; his sons, Miles Jamison Freeman and Declan Lee Bauguess; his mother, Vicki Freeman of Winston-Salem; his father, Gordon Freeman of Hamptonville; a brother Andy Freeman of East Bend; two nieces, Reagan and Maddix Freeman; Shana’s mother, Tammy Sizemore; Shana’s brother, Ryan Sizemore (Megan) and daughter, Maddox and many family and friends. A Gathering of Friends will be held from 4 to 6 PM Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Miles Jamison Freeman Account c/o Shana Sizemore.
