Connie Davidson Young

Mrs. Connie Davidson Young, 68, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her home. She was born September 21, 1943 in Anderson County, TN, the daughter of the late, Jay Price and Frances Kathleen Falls Davidson. Mrs. Young grew up in Sparta, TN where she was a graduate of Sparta High School. She attended Tennessee Tech and worked in Huntsville, AL for GE who worked on the NASA Space Missions. She retired from US Air. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Gerald Davidson. Survivors include her husband, Bill Young of the home; one daughter, Danette Kirkpatrick of Huntsville, AL; two granddaughters, Kathleen Parsons of Winston-Salem and Jessica Leigh Dove and husband, Chuck of Raleigh; three sisters-in-law, Valerie Davidson, Doreda Davidson, and Judi Tucker; nieces and nephews, Patrick Davidson and Nicole Ledford; special cousins, Gene Davidson, Alfred and Jewell Davidson, Sybil Davidson Haggard, and Jack Davidson all of Waynesboro, TN, Barbara Davidson Carman of Franklin, TN and Jimmy and Mary Thrasher of Lake City, FL; beloved friends, Joanne Heckle and Wanda Flippin. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 PM at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
