Corey was born on March 2, 1996, in Guilford County, North Carolina. He was a 2015 graduate of East Forsyth High School. He worked at Mabe Steel and also pursued his entrepreneurial spirit as a self-employed landscaper.
Corey had a brilliant mind, a wonderful sense of humor, and a curiosity about the world around him. He was always eager to learn something new, take on a challenge, or try something different. Whether it was skateboarding, riding BMX bikes, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Corey approached life in his own unique way. Strong-willed and independent, he wasn’t afraid to be himself.
Above all else, Corey’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a father to his beloved daughter, Ryleigh. She held a special place in his heart, and the love he had for her was immeasurable. His family and friends will forever remember his humor, intelligence, determination, and the unforgettable personality that made Corey who he was.
Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lynn Canapp.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Ryleigh Flynn; his mother, Georgia Feeney (Feeney) of Commerce, Georgia; his father, Ronnie Flynn (Bonnie) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; his sister, Micah Flynn of Mayodan; his brothers, Ryan Flynn of Kernersville and Lucas Flynn of Charlottesville, Virginia; his stepbrother, Brycen Feeney of Commerce, Georgia; his paternal grandmother, Vivian Weaver; his maternal grandfather, Roy Canapp; his uncle, Roy Canapp; girlfriend Viviana Rodriguez; Nicole Amber Jones the mother of his daughter,; and many other loving relatives and friends.
