Cory David Spaugh

Mr. Cory David Spaugh, 27, passed away July 25, 2017. He was born January 26, 1990 in Forsyth County to David and Phyllis Spaugh. Cory was a special spirit with a pure heart and kind soul. He had a way to brighten the room with just a smile and gave the best hugs around. He thoroughly enjoyed his life. He was the best son, big-brother, and grandson that God could have given us. Work was not work to him, but a passion as he got to live his life centered on sports. His co-workers were like family to him making his work place somewhere he didn't mind spending his days. He was an active member of his church, Faith UMC, always willing and present. He truly loved his church family and much of his life was focused on those people. From the youngest to the oldest member he made an impact and touched their lives. He became a role model for many children in the church and like a second child to many others. He was someone who was all-in and committed in every way, as evident by his life-long friendships. He had outstanding friends that like every other part of his life, were part of his family. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alton Boger Sr., and Warren Spaugh; great-grandparents, Luke & Joyce Bowen. In addition to his parents, He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Brooke Spaugh; grandmothers, Jane Boger, Doris Spaugh; aunts and uncles, Ray (Connie) Boger, Randy (Margaret) Spaugh; Great-aunts and uncles, Merle (Larry) Andrews, Peggy (Odell) Fulk, and several Cousins. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Eileen Ayuso and Rev. Drew Southern officiating. Interment will follow at Pfafftown Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 P.M to 2:45 P.M. at the church.
