Crystal Hunt Cox

Oak Ridge - Crystal Leigh Hunt Cox, 45, joined heaven's angels on January 12, 2017 after a year-long brave and courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Crystal was a loving wife and a devoted, caring mother. She enjoyed her career as a counselor at Northwest Guilford Middle School and loved working in her flower gardens, especially her roses.

Surviving are her husband, Craig Cox; a daughter, Jessica Cox; and a son Zachary Cox, all of Oak Ridge; her parents, Charles and Betty Jo Hunt; a brother, Mark A. Hunt and wife Brooke; a niece Ava Hunt; a nephew, Keller Bolling; and her mother-in-law, Marlene Crouch, all of Kingsport, TN.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Larry Kirby and Rev. Eric Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Kingsport, Tennessee.
