Crystal Dillard

Crystal Ann Kerr Dillard, 59, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018. She was born April 25, 1959 in Huntington, PA to Mr. John Franklin Kerr and Shirley Varnes Kerr. Crystal was a lover of music. There is an endowed scholarship in her name for saxophone players at the University of Florida, her alma mater. She played saxophone with the UF Gator Alumni band and several local community bands. Throughout her life Crystal served others with her career in social work, most recently with Easter Seals of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents she is survived by her partner, Stan; son, Daniel; daughter, April; four brothers: Greg, Doug, Jeff, and Phillip; sister, Candace; and many other loving family members. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, August 26 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Amy Carlan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, August 25 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
