Curtis "Griff" Jr.

Mr. Curtis Edwin Griffin, Jr. "Griff", 71, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 24, 1946 in Davidson County to Stella Crews Griffin and Curtis E. Griffin, Sr. Mr. Griffin was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Christian Church of Kernersville. Mr. Griffin was self-employed and retired from Tri/Com Telecommunications. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janice Snyder and a brother, Allen Griffin. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Judy Spaugh Griffin; one son, Matthew Edward Griffin; two sisters, Nancy Marie Griffin and Linda Gayle Johnson; three nephews, Chris Johnson, Todd Johnson and Harold Snyder and two great nieces, Abby Johnson and Summer Page and a great nephew, Spencer Snyder. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Pete Kunkle and Pastor Wayne Branch officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
