Curtis Swain, Sr.

Mr. Curtis Swain, Sr., 84, of Winston-Salem, died Monday, July 27, 2026 at Trinity Elms Assisted Living in Clemmons. Mr. Swain was a native of Bridgeton, New Jersey and was a 17-year employee of Owens-Illinois Glass in Bridgeton. In later years, he worked in car sales and insurance sales. Before retirement, he worked for Walmart Corporation for 20 years and was proud to be part of the start-up team for the Walmart Supercenter on Kester Mill Road in Winston-Salem. Mr. Swain is survived by daughters, Cheryl D. Swain of Greensboro and Cindy Smith (husband, David) of Winston-Salem; son, Curtis Swain, Jr. (wife, Anne-Marie) of Marlton, New Jersey; granddaughters, Stephanie Hutchens (husband, Tarl) and Meredith Kinneer; and great-granddaughter, Jade Kinneer. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2026 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. Jeff Wall, pastor of Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church (Dobson, NC), will officiate. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
