Daisy Greene Hagaman

Mrs. Daisy Greene Hagaman, 93, transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday August 2, 2023. She was born on January 16, 1930, in Watauga County, North Carolina to the late Boyd William Greene and Minnie Wagner Greene. Daisy was a devout member of Ardmore Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school for many years and acting as circle leader. She was also an active member of their bereavement committee and a joyous member of the Joy class. She also had a love of sewing and was a member of the Handicrafters club at Ardmore Baptist Church. Daisy has a deep love of baking, her specialty being sugar cookies. She also had a passion for sending letters and keeping up with those she loved. Daisy loved her husband, her children, and her grandchildren very much and she was a kind and gentle soul who reached out to touch every person she met. She was a big part of her neighborhood and always cared for those around her. Along with her parents, Daisy is preceded in death by her loving husband James Doughton Hagaman; four brothers Yasta, Newland, Raytee, and Bob Richard; and two sisters Pansy Taylor and Violet Hagaman. She is survived by her two daughter Ruth (Danny Lee) Woosley and Amy Hagaman; grandchildren Ben Lee (Brittany) Woosley and Dustin Robertson; sister Fern Handy; and a plethora of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jacks in the Oncology Department of Novant Health for her continued support and strength during this time. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the giver’s charity of choice.
