Dale Edward Traxler, Jr.

Walkertown- Mr. Dale Edward Traxler, Jr., 87, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at his residence. He was born on January 6, 1939, in Barberton, OH, the son of Dale and Helen Brasko Traxler. He was a graduate of Barberton High School Class of 1956. He spent his early married life and raised his family in Canal Fulton, OH. A member of Kerwin Baptist Church, Dale worked at PPG in Barberton, OH and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after many years of service. After retiring he worked in the family business, Private Label Manufacturing in Winston-Salem. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local #831. He loved gardening and working with flowers. A phenomenal bowler, he was an avid sports fan who loved Duke and The Ohio State University. Dale was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and would testify with anyone around. Many friends and family were saved because of him. Devoted to his wife whom he cherished, Brenda and to his family, he always said he had a “Full Quiver.” He is preceded in death by his parents; his children, Mashal, Jack and Anthony “Tony” and his sisters, Carolyn and Darlene. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Brenda Fowler Traxler; his children, Dale Traxler, III (Kathy) of Kernersville, Todd Traxler (Shelley) of Ashburn, VA. and Colleen King (Kevin) of Walkertown; his grandchildren, Tiffany Crawford (Jordan), Dale Traxler IV (Greta), Christian Traxler (Kari), Todd Traxler, Jr. (Cassie), Justin Traxler, Alina Traxler (Kameron), Dylan Traxler, McKayla Traxler, Chase King (Whitney), Nicolette King (Tanner) and Connor King; fourteen great grandchildren and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. Burial will follow at 4 PM in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Reidsville. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday before the service at the church. The family would like to thank Heather and Sydney and the other staff members of Trellis Supportive Care for their loving care of Dale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kerwin Baptist Church, 4520 Old Hollow Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284 or Kennedy’s Disease Association at www.kennedysdisease.org.
