Mr. Dallas Fletcher Cooke, 88, passed away, Saturday August 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his daughters. Dallas was born on October 13, 1936, in Yadkin County, the son of the late Dana Wilson Cook and Minnie Royal Cook. He was a member of Stafford Baptist Church. Dallas retired from the City Garage of Winston-Salem, where he worked for 30 years. He loved being a mechanic and took great pride in it. His passion was cars and was evident by all that knew him. Whether it was working on them, wheeling and dealing, or watching NASCAR. He was a loving and kind man. His family and friends were everything to him. Dallas was an example of a hard-working man his entire life. His joys in life were his family and friends, hanging out at the garage or car lot with his buddies, telling stories and laughing at his own bad jokes. He was a loving husband to his wife Grace for 58 years and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Dallas was an example of God’s love, compassion and joy. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cemon “Bud”, Roger and Dana Jr. and five sisters, Mildred “Jabo”, Deanie, Ruth, Gail and Karen. Dallas is survived by his three daughters, Glenda Edwards (Michael), Terri Cooke and Tammy Stewart; two grandchildren, Autumn Price and Cody Blakenship (Meredith); three great-grandchildren, Grant, Memphis and Camilla; two sisters, Janice and Tonya; three brothers, Wayne, Leon (Debbie) and Ronnie Dale (Shelia) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
