Daniel Pangilinan Palomares

Daniel "Danny" Palomares left this world the same way he lived in it, surrounded by the people he loved most. On May 18, 2026, at the age of 75, Danny passed away peacefully, cradled by family and held in the warmth of a life extraordinarily well-lived.

Danny was many things to many people. To his beloved wife Elena, he was a devoted partner and steadfast companion. To his daughters Evangeline and Elisha, he was a caring and present father. But perhaps nowhere did his heart shine more brightly than in the eyes of his grandchildren, whose laughter, sparked by Danny's irresistible humor, had a way of filling every corner of a room and spilling right out the door.

He had a gift for making people smile. Whether it was a well-timed joke, a knowing grin, or simply showing up with a warm meal and open arms, Danny had an effortless way of turning ordinary moments into ones worth remembering.

His hands were never idle. In his earlier years, Danny channeled his creativity and craftsmanship into a remarkable career as a manufacturing supervisor, creating custom frames for some of the most celebrated institutions in the world, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. His work quietly held masterpieces in place, much like Danny himself held his family together.

In retirement, he traded the workshop for the kitchen and launched a catering business with his wife, because for Danny, helping to feed people was another way of loving them. He was the engine behind the business and every dish his wife prepared carried the same intention he brought to everything: to make others feel happy, seen, and cared for.

Danny was a fixer and not just of broken things, but of difficult days. If something needed repairing, he reached for his tools without a second thought. If someone needed a ride, he was already reaching for his keys. If someone needed to be heard, he sat down, listened, and offered the kind of steady, thoughtful advice that only comes from someone who genuinely cares. He and Elena had a way of making every person who crossed their threshold feel like they truly belonged there.

He leaves behind a legacy not built of monuments, but of moments, of laughter-filled rooms, carefully crafted frames, home-cooked meals, and the quiet, consistent kindness that defined his every day.

Danny was loved deeply, and he will be missed in ways that words can barely hold. But in every repaired heirloom, every shared meal, every grandchild's giggle he remains.

Rest easy, Danny. The room is a little quieter now, but oh, how you filled it.
