Daniel Gray Pitts

Daniel Gray Pitts, 35, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Duke University Hospital. He was born September 20, 1990, in Forsyth County to Daniel Lee Pitts and the late Deborah Freeman Pitts.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Carl and Ann Freeman; and paternal grandparents, Miles Junior Pitts and Ruby Lynn Beeson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Daniel “Dan” Lee Pitts; a brother, Dustin Carl Pitts; a step-mother, Deborah J. Pitts; an aunt, Donna Tingle Moore; a great aunt, Anne Brown; and several cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church at 1301 C.E. Gray Drive, SE, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The visitation will start at 12:30 PM and the service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kelvin McCormick officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Pitts family.
