Danny Lee Comer

Mr. Danny L. Comer, 76, of Pfafftown, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Danny was born in Page County, Virginia on January 3, 1947, to the late Clark E. Comer and Marie Lona Beahm Comer.  Danny spent decades in the utility construction industry where he was well known and respected.  After retirement, Danny found happiness as “The Transporter” and #1 fan for all six of his grandchildren.  Everyone that knew Danny knew what family meant to him.  He was a faithful member of Augsburg Lutheran Church in Winston-Salem.  Danny is survived by his children, Jeffery Comer (Ann), Gregory Comer (Angie), and Kimberly Ottati (Jon); six grandchildren, Diana Smith (Colton), Gracie Comer, Noah Comer, US Army Specialist Nicholas Ottati (Haleigh), Alexandra Ottati, and Julianna Ottati; his brother, Ronnie Comer; and mother of his children, Rita Comer.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Augsburg Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul A. Wollner officiating.  Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Augsburg Lutheran Church, 845 West 5^th St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
