Mr. Danny Allan Tickle, Age 62, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 14, 2019. He was born October 1, 1956 in Forsyth County to Hugh Allan Tickle and June Faircloth Tickle. Danny graduated from Parkland High School with the class of 1974. He also attended Forsyth Tech Community College. Danny retired with 30 plus years of service from R.J. Reynolds. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of King, and everybody knew he was a Christian by the testimony he lived. He loved fishing, working in his yard and garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh A. Tickle. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sharon Tickle; son, Joshua Shawn Tickle (Malissa); step children, Danny and Kevin Bodenhamer; grandchildren, Aydan and Jaxson Tickle, and Danielle Overby (Justin); great-grandchildren, Korbyn Overby; mother, June F. Tickle; brothers, Randy Tickle (Millie), and Chris Tickle (Sherri); and several nieces and nephews. In addition his “special furry friend” Dexter, whom he loved to walk. Funeral services for Danny will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, February 18, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Dr. Tommy Pillow officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
