Danny Gray Alverson, Sr.

Mr. Danny Gray Alverson, Sr., 63, of Clemmons, NC, entered the gates of Heaven surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.  Danny was born in Forsyth County on May 4, 1959, to the late Sherman Wesley Alverson and Annas Walker Alverson.  He graduated from Parkland High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.  Danny was a kind man who found joy in helping others with a strong work ethic that was unsurpassed.  He would encourage us all to continue in the same way and be good people.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Claire Bear Alverson.  Left to carry on his legacy are his four children, Tatum Alverson, Tabetha Alverson Martin (Travis), Danny Alverson, Jr. (Gao), and Tiffany Alverson; and grandchildren, Teagan Rivera, Taehlyn Martin, and Tucker Martin.  Danny is also survived by his two brothers, Randy Alverson and Tommy Alverson; his sister “Sissy”, Jill Alverson; and one niece, Anna Foutz (Justin).  Danny was also blessed with two bonus sons, Cody and Christopher Blackburn and their families.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the compassionate care and love they provided for Danny in his final days.  They were a true blessing in his time of need.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N. Lee Ave., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
