Darin Blake McClaugherty

Mr. Darin Blake McClaugherty, age 47, of Winston-Salem passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County on March 3, 1967 the son of Betty Davis McClaugherty and the late Darius Blake McClaugherty. Darin was employed with Varco-Pruden Buildings for 26 years. He loved IHRA and NHRA drag racing and had many friends that shared his passion for the sport.

In addition to his mother, Betty, Darin is survived by his sister, Kimberly; brother, Derek and wife, Beth; and two nieces, Megan and Molly, all of King, NC.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 7553 NC Hwy 66 South, King, NC 27021 with Rev. Tyler Hege officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
