Darrell Stephen Gibson

Darrell Stephen Gibson, 48, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Darrell was born on July 1, 1968 in Winston-Salem to Stephen Lee Gibson and the late Sue Blakley Gibson. He graduated from Mt. Tabor High School in 1986. Darrell enjoyed sports and motorcycles and he liked to read, listen to music and cook. He also loved the outdoors and liked to go camping. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, Stephen Lee Gibson and his step-mother, Karen Vernon Gibson; two daughters, Tesla Nicole Gibson and Erika Marie Mathay; the mother of his two daughters, Deborah Gibson Davis; two grandchildren, Gaige O'Neal and Gatlin Mathay; step-sister, Meredith Patton; step-brothers, Randy and Michael Patton; and aunt, Kathleen Gibson.
