Darrell Lee Raper

Mr. Darrell Lee Raper went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2024. He was born in Forsyth County on August 20, 1938, to Kenneth Johnson Raper and Doris Swaim Raper. After many years of loyal service, he retired from R.J. Reynolds. He enjoyed attending many local Baptist churches, golfing with lifelong friends, and was an avid animal lover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June M. Raper. He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Raper; three sisters, Donna Howerton (Norman), Dianne Hicks (Tommy), and Debbie Baker (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by his nephew Jason Clubb. A visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm before the service. Internment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local humane society in honor of Darrell.
