Mr. Daryl Calvin Huffman, 71 passed away peacefully January 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Daryl was born May 28, 1947 to Phyllis H Huffman and Jason Calvin "JC" Huffman in Catawba County. Daryl graduated from Gray High School in 1965, entered the Air Force and proudly served his Country until 1970. Daryl resided in Winston Salem where he worked in the automotive industry for 42 years.  Daryl married Brenda K. Brown in May 1976. They had two children Jeffrey and Wendy. Over the years Daryl and Brenda loved to travel, especially on cruises! He also loved motorcycles and hunting with his Dad. Daryl was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis and his son Jeffrey. Surviving are his wife Brenda, his father JC, his daughter Wendy H. Yontz and seven wonderful grandchildren; Brittany, Alyssa, Alexis, Kayla, Ricky, Nicole and Jeff - and his great granddaughter Annabella. Also surviving is his sister Sherry Spivey (David) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. All of us will continue to love his precious feline children Boots and Smokey, who remained by his side until the end. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Forsyth Memorial Park, with Mr. Wayne West officiating. The family wishes to express their thanks to friends and family for their prayers, visits and kind expressions of concern and also offer a special thanks to the Staff at the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Daryl's memory to the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
