David Alton Cope

Mr. David Alton Cope, 79, of Advance passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011. He was born May 7, 1932 in Davie County to Robert and Margaret Cline Cope. Mr. Cope retired from Hanes Knitting with 23 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Tucker Cope; a son, Rocky Cope and wife Mandy of Belton, TX, step grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan; two sisters, Linda Taylor and Betty Fine and a brother, Bob Cope all of Mocksville. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Bixby Presbyterian Church.
