David Goggin

Mr. David Ray Goggin, 72, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Ironton, Missouri on February 22, 1945 to the late Donald Ray and Ethel Hodges Goggin. David spent 30 years in church ministry and the last 23 years serving others in community, church, and workplace. His passions were missions, leading others in worship, as well as his family and community. Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Linda Cash Goggin; son, Byron Goggin (Leslie); two grandchildren; sisters, Donna Loyd (Jim) and Lu Ann Patterson; also surviving are nephews and nieces. A celebration of his life will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church. The burial will follow at 4:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Elkin, NC. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Pregnancy Center, 1342 Westgate Center Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
