David Anthony "Tony" Grubbs

David Anthony “Tony” Grubbs, 68, passed away on August 21, 2025 at home in the presence of his caring wife and beloved Miss Kitty.

Tony was born on March 12, 1957 in Forsyth County, NC to the late William and Verna Grubbs. Tony was a man of the outdoors and found great joy traveling from the mountains to the beaches of North Carolina. He worked as a cook for a number of years but truly enjoyed getting away to Kure Beach with Tammy. Tony was a NASCAR enthusiast and loved fishing on the weekends.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Wayne Grubbs; and his mother-in-law, Joann Hall.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Grubbs; his son, Daniel Berrier (Mayra); three special grandchildren, Isabella Sanchez and Sophia and Mason Berrier; his father in law, Buddy Hall; a sister and brother-in-law, Pam and John Wingo; a niece, Jessica Harrington; and two favorite grand-nieces, Sarah and Kayley Webb.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Reed’s Baptist Church in the Family Life Center, with Daniel Berrier officiating. Visitation to immediately follow.
