David Thomas Hawkins

David Thomas Hawkins, 81,  of Germanton, North Carolina peacefully went to be with our Lord on December 26, 2023. David is preceded in death by his father, Roy Thomas Hawkins and his mother, Dorothy Venable Hawkins and a daughter, Robin Rena Hawkins. The family who has been blessed to love him so much is his wife of 48 years, Gail G. Hawkins, his eldest daughter, Marchelle Brown (Anthony), son, David Martin Hawkins (Whitney), and youngest daughter, Julie Hawkins Sauvageau (Anthony). Grandchildren, Mara Joyce (Dylan), Thomas Hawkins (Zander), Krista Pegram (Thomas), and Allie Hawkins (Connor). Great Grandchild, Adeline May Pegram (Krista and Thomas). Brother Danny Hawkins, and many nieces and nephews. David was a dedicated member of Palmyra Methodist Church and served on many committees. He had a long career in the transportation industry and loved tinkering and fixing anything from automobiles to typewriters.  The family will honor David’s wishes and have a private service. A celebration of life meal will be held at Palmyra Methodist Church Fellowship Hall (5076 NC 8 Hwy South, Germanton, NC 27019) at 3:00pm for friends and family December 30, 2023. The family would like to thank everyone for their support during this time.
