David Edward Holcombe

GREENSBORO - Mr. David Edward Holcombe, 63, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, October 14, 2014. David was born on November 5, 1950 in Fulton County, Georgia to Sherman and Joyce Weatherford Holcombe. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Providence Baptist Church in Alpharetta, GA. David had a great appreciation for the outdoors that developed into a love for hunting, fishing and farming.

David was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Holcombe; and a sister, Margaret Hilburn.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Carver Holcombe; three daughters, Melissa Wellman (Steven), Amy Mayes (Jonmark) and Joany Starr (Chad); his mother, Joyce Holcombe; four grandchildren, Courtney Davies, Alexandra Wellman, Andrew Wellman and Savannah Starr; and a sister, Sarah Warnecke (Skip)

No services are scheduled at this time. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
