David Katzer

Mr. David Lee Katzer, 81, entered his Savior's more immediate presence on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born October 5, 1935 in El Paso, Texas. David proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. He earned his undergraduate degree in Math from the University of Chicago. He then earned his Master's Degree from Georgia Tech University in Electronic Engineering while working with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems. David was a faithful member of Rural Hall Moravian Church. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his former wife, Nancy Katzer and a nephew, Chip Callender. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rachel Katzer; two children, Alan Katzer of Winston-Salem, NC and Scott Katzer (Joan) of Alexandria, GA; and his sister, Lynn Callender (Bill) of Nashville, TN. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Rural Hall Moravian Church with Pastor Aaron Linville officiating.
