David Charley Sams, Jr.

Mr. David Charley Sams, Jr., 67, earned his wings on March 11, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home with his loving wife by his side. “Courageous Husband: If all the music died and music makers ceased, I think you’d stand and sing a hymn of Hope and Peace. If nights of doubts and fears against the Light were hurled, I think you’d light a candle and stand against the world. If winds of changing times uprooted trees and sod, I think instead of mocking, you’d stand in praise of God. The courage of your life.” David was preceded in death by his father, David C. Sams, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sams, a daughter, Jessica Darby (Chris), a grandson, Braydon Darby, his mother, Daphine Sams, two brothers, Tory Sams (Cheryl), and Aaron Sams (Nancy), and two sisters, Tara Cleveland (Eddie), and Kellee Horne (Andy). A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday March 16, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. “Thank you, Jesus, see you in Heaven.”
