David Lee Settle

Mr. David Lee Settle, 77, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Settle was born on November 15, 1937, in Wilkes County, NC to the late Ernest Clifton Settle and Flossie Lyons Settle. David was one of 13 children. Mr. Settle served his country in the United States Army. David attended Pinedale Christian Church. He was the President of David Settle Builders. David enjoyed NASCAR, his work and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one son, Reggie Lee Settle; one grandson, David Alexander Settle; and nine brothers and sisters. Mr. Settle is survived by his wife, Ann Pinnix Settle of the home; one son, Scott Settle of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Donna Randolph and husband, Tony of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Andrew Randolph of Charlotte, NC, Carley Randolph of Charlotte, NC, and Griffin Settle of Winston-Salem; one sister, Zeola Holbrook of Ronda, NC; and two brothers, Jack Settle and wife, Pat of Conover, NC and Avery Settle and wife, Louise of Elkin, NC. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Pinedale Christian Church with Minister Bob McCaskill and Minister Bill McKenzie officiating. Interment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
