David Lee Sloan

David Lee Sloan, 73, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 29, 1936 in Forsyth County to Joseph and Callie Brinkley Sloan. Mr. Sloan was retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Bernice Sloan; and his parents. Surviving is one son, David V. Sloan and wife Sherri of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Beverly and husband H.E. Amos, and Kathy Bass all of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2 at Grace Baptist Temple with Pastor Ed Sears officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons.
