Mr. David Lee Watts, Sr., 73, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Watts was born May 31, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Dolen Lee and Hazel Estelle Harbin Watts. He was a member of Pine Chapel Moravian Church and drove for McLean Trucking for 35 years, and then worked for Tyco Corp. until his retirement. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and any type of sports. He was a US Marine Corp veteran. Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 21 years, Helen ""Ruthie"" Watts of the home, a son; David Lee Watts, Jr. of Winston-Salem, two step-daughters; Annette Smith and husband, Decoe of Walkertown, Dawn Riner and fiancé, Richard of Winston-Salem, a stepson, CC Hill , Jr and wife Lori of Clemmons, four grandchildren and several special cousins and a number of friends. Also surviving are his two pets Popcorn and Peanut The Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, June3 at Pine Chapel Moravian Church officiated by Rev. James Demby. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Park with Military Honors conducted by Clemmons Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Monday, June 2, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
