Dawn Keck Atkins

Mrs. Dawn Marie Keck Atkins, age 66 of Advance, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at her home. She was born March 8, 1959 in Neenah, WI to the late Rowland Dale Keck and Virginia Raehl Keck. Mrs. Atkins had retired from Sunbelt Rentals after 29 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Atkins; two sons, Chad Keck (Misti) and Andrew Heling (Carrie); two step-sons, Michael Atkins (Beth) and James Atkins (Jill); nine grandchildren, Jessica Vann, Kayla Parkerson, Avery Heling, Brett Keck, Grace, Mollie and Kayden Heling and Ashlyn and Ellis Atkins and Brandi Bain, Noah and Alyssa Taylor; five great grandchildren, Hailey, Riley, Oliver and Tobias Brigman and Ricky Vann; four brothers, Tim, Jeff (Debbie), Scott (Jean) and Tommy (Tammi) Keck; one sister-in-law, Patty Johnson and one brother-in-law, Bobby Atkins (Kaye) and a special cousin and best friend, Patty and Steve Whitney along with several other cousins, nieces and nephews .

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers , memorials may be made to trellis Supportive care, 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
