Dawn Elaine Clarke

Dawn Elaine Clarke, 72, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy measured not by accomplishments, but by the countless lives she quietly shaped.

To know Dawn was to feel seen. She had a rare gift for making people feel they belonged—whether they were family, lifelong friends, a stranger needing encouragement, or one of the many patrons she welcomed during the more than 18 years she owned and operated her Biscuitville restaurant. She listened with genuine interest, offered wisdom without judgment, told jokes and unforgettable stories, and had a way of knowing exactly what someone needed. Many found comfort and solace sitting next to her on the front porch.

Dawn loved fiercely and gave of herself freely. She was a source of strength, comfort, and security to those around her. She didn’t simply fill the roles of mother, grandmother, friend, or mentor—she redefined them through her generosity, compassion, humor, and unwavering presence.

Her greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind two sons, beloved daughters-in-law, and cherished grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the values she lived every day: kindness, resilience, humility, and unconditional love. The influence she had on their lives—and on the lives of so many others—will continue for generations.

Though her absence leaves an immeasurable space in our hearts, her love remains woven into the people she raised, the friendships she nurtured, and the community she helped create. The best way to honor Dawn is to love generously, listen deeply, laugh often, and make others feel welcome—just as she always did.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
