Born on April 30, 1956, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Deborah Ann Brown passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, at 7:25 a.m. at Beacon Place, surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl LeRoy Brown; her son, Thomas Allen Nelsen “Tommy”; her parents, Fredrick Grey Keene and Pearl Lucille Boyer; and her sister, Terri Lynn Homan.
She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, including her children, Johanna (Kike) and Matthew; her grandchildren, Amber, Caitlin, Brandi, Andrew (Danielle), Makaela, Nikki, and Kali; and her treasured great-grandchildren: Hunter, Thomas, Avery, Kinsley, Elijah, Grayson, Braxton, and Roman, who is expected later this year. And the many many more she’s collected over the years.
She is also survived by her siblings, Brenda L. Whittle (Ron), and Willard V. McIntyre “Jimbo” (Mellissa)
Grandma will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her. Her strength, caring, and presence brought comfort and warmth to generations of loved ones and endless laughter. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, the memories she created and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family forever.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and is finally at peace.
