Mrs. Deborah Poteat Campbell, 61, of Lexington N.C. passed away at the Kiser Hospice House on Friday, October 31, 2014. She was born November 2, 1952 in Elkin to Phyllis Brandon Poteat and Ralph S Poteat. Mrs. Campbell graduated from West Forsyth High School and later graduated ""Summa Cum Laude"" from Forsyth Technical Community College as a paralegal. She worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company before founding Campbell Insurance Agency. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carmella Myers Hege and a brother, Ralph Samuel Poteat. Surviving are her husband of 28 years, William Jackson Campbell; a son, Roman Shay Campbell and his wife Tracy and a stepfather, David G. Williams. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 3 , 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
