With the passing of Deborah “Debbie” Eads Brewer, an exceptionally caring soul was returned to the Lord on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Debbie was born in Winston-Salem, NC, on March 20, 1952 to the late Winford Wayne Eads and Barbara Ann Peoples Eads.
Debbie attended North Forsyth High School and worked at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company before retiring to explore different career opportunities alongside her work in the home. A prayerful sister, faithful wife, loving Momma, doting Yaya, and gracious friend, she was widely known for sharing her love for her Lord and Savior, and encouraging others to know Jesus themselves.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was also preceded in death by a son, Eric Thomas Himes; her devoted husband of 31 years, Timothy Allen Brewer; and siblings, Vickie Ann Eads Jones and Alan Wayne Eads.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Thomas Craig Himes; daughter, Bobbie-Leigh Brewer (Travis) Shermer; and two grandsons, Jeffrey Gibson II and Chase Shermer, all of Winston-Salem, NC; as well as siblings, Donna (Lawrence) Davis of King, NC, Steve Eads of King, NC, and Stanford Eads of Lexington, NC; an aunt, Sylvia Beam of King, NC; and countless others she knew and loved as family.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Freeman Street Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends the night prior, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. **Due to inclement weather and unsafe conditions at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Debbie's graveside service has been postponed until Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:30p.m.**
