Deborah Angel Crater, 74, of Clemmons, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Born March 8, 1951, in Forsyth County, Debbie was the daughter of the late Herman and Ann Angel. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and was well known for her incredible baking. Family and friends eagerly looked forward to her homemade cakes for birthdays and holidays.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family at Holden Beach, working in the yard with her husband, Wesley, and cooking meals for those she loved. She was an immensely selfless person with a true servant’s heart. She was a graduate of Parkland High School and a longtime, devoted member of Rosemont Baptist Church.
Debbie fully submitted to God's beautiful will for her life and trusted in His perfect plan of salvation. Both she and Wesley lived the gospel of Jesus Christ, not only providing a godly foundation for their children but also counseling others through God's Word.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley Crater.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nikki Simmons (Adam), Casey Frymire (Allen), and Wesley Crater (Natalie Clontz); grandchildren, Maverick Simmons and Eden Frymire; brother, Herman F. Angel, Jr.; sisters, Dixie Angel and Kim Tally (Greg); numerous nieces and nephews; her church family and many friends; and her faithful furry companion, Cash.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 2:00PM in Rosemont Baptist Church, 415 Clemmonsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
