DeEtte Bryant Jarrard

Mrs. DeEtte Bryant Jarrard, 97, entered into the presence of her Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Mrs. Jarrard was born December 24, 1928 in Winston-Salem to the late Henry H. and Vertie Smothers Bryant. She was a graduate of Gray High School and a lifelong member of Christ Moravian Church. She was a former member of the Winston-Salem Crafts Guild, the Kernersville Arts and Crafts Club and the AG Club. Her favorite pasttimes were watching birds from her sunroom window, eating out at local restaurants, and shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon D. Jarrard; her son, Dennis Wayne Jarrard; her brother, Don Bryant; her beloved aunt, Maude Smothers; and a son-in-law, Jerry Joyce. Survivors include a daughter, Donna J. Joyce; daughter-in-law, Laura Jarrard; grandchildren, Jessica and Clinton Jarrard, Amanda Dezarn (husband Travis) and Joshua Joyce (wife Janna); great-grandchildren, Kollyns Dezarn and Naomi Joyce; and nephews, Justin and Cade Bryant. All services will be private. Burial will be in Salem Moravian Graveyard. Memorials may be directed to Christ Moravian Church, 919 W. Academy Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
