Leona “Dell” Tuttle Goins, 76, entered into the presence of her Savior on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Dell was born on September 7, 1947, in Forsyth County to Russell A. Tuttle and Thelma Kiser Tuttle. She was one of ten children, eight sisters and one brother, many of whom preceded her in death. They were a very close family that loved spending time together shopping, singing but, most of all laughing. She was married to the love of her life, Carlos “Bud” Goins, for 50 years. Together they raised two children whom they loved and adored. Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud, seven sisters, and a great-grandson, Easton Sunday. Mrs. Goins is survived by daughter, Lorrie Sunday (Scott) of King, son, Christopher (Shannon) of Rural Hall, sister Patsy Vestal (Larry) of Germanton, brother James Tuttle (Fonda) of Westfield, brother-in-law, Robert Goins of Rural Hall, sister-in-law, Peggy Ensley of Great Falls, MT, her grandsons, whom she cherished; Nikolas Webster (Carmen), Cody Goins (Candace), Lukus Sunday (Lakyn) and Dylan Goins (Ashley). The littlest loves of her life; Great grandchildren, Nathan, Nadia, Maddison, Nataleigh, Greyson, Gavin, Reagan, Blakely and Aubree and many beloved nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no formal service. A private graveside service will be held at the Westmoreland Family Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Larry Vestal. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the great care they provided. With special thanks to nurse Ellen for her gentle love and care.
