Mr. Delma Edman Collins, 85, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at his home.
He was born February 21, 1940, in Stokes County, NC, to the late Casey Ledford Collins and Lula Clarice Baker Collins.
Delma retired from Thomasville Furniture Plant H in Winston-Salem after 37 ½ years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed making and sharpening knives. Delma loved bluegrass music, playing the banjo, guitar, and bass.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Elaine Collins. Delma is survived by his daughter, Vickie Lynn Collins; two sons, Ricky Ray Collins (Sharon) and Casey B. Collins (Nikki); five grandchildren, Cayla Nystrom (Peter), Sarah Mae Trollinger, Robin Dawson (Brandin), Payton Collins and Hunter Collins; six great-grandchildren, Tommy, Abigail, Isabella, Rebekah, Raven, and Phoebe; three brothers, Harold Collins (Phyllis), William Collins, (Lennis), and Claude Collins (Jean); and special friends, Robin and Christine Conner.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Well Care Hospice.
A funeral service will be conducted 2pm Monday, January 19, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Danny Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Closer Walk Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Closer Walk Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
