Delores 'Mama Dee' Wiles Humphrey

CLEMMONS--Mrs. Delores 'Mama Dee' Wiles Humphrey, 77, of Clemmons, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Forsyth County on March 8, 1935, to the late Charlie Edgar Wiles and the late Norma Huie Wiles Worrell. She was a faithful member of Lewisville Baptist Church and formerly Pleasant View Baptist Church. Mrs. Humphrey lived in Forsyth County and retired from Wachovia Bank after 39 years of service. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Wiles and his wife Donna. Surviving are her loving husband of 59 years, Wilbert F. Humphrey; son, Randy Humphrey and wife Billie of Clemmons; three grandchildren, Craig Humphrey and wife Joanna of Lewisville, Kim Humphrey and fiancé Michael Sheets of Advance, Darrell Humphrey and wife Hannan of Advance; eight great-grandchildren, Max, Alex, Emily, Barrett, Whyitt, Lakin, Liliana and Waylin; one brother, Steve Wiles and wife Lori of Kernersville; one sister-in-law, Sherrin Badger and husband Don of Winston-Salem; a special niece, Sarah of Kernersville; and many beloved extended family members. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem on Tuesday, September 17th, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel officiated by Pastor Jo Bjorling and Pastor David Harmon. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
