Delores Green Shew

Delores Green Shew, 93, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Peoria, Illinois on September 27, 1932, to the late Theodore and Sylvia Hager Snider. Mrs. Shew was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the kindest and most humble person one could ever meet. Mrs. Shew enjoyed birdwatching. Preceding her in death were her husband, Russell James Shew, Sr.; and three sisters, Barbara Dulin, Beverly Sorenson, and Shirley Shew. Surviving are two sons, Russell Shew, Jr. (Patti) and Randy Shew; two grandchildren, Christopher Shew and Andrea Sheppard; two great-grandchildren, Corey and Lyric; sister, Carol Peterson; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
