Delrena "Della" Jean Jones

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Delrena "Della" Jean Jones, 54, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Della was a remarkable woman, an impassioned Certified Nursing Assistant and beloved family member.

She was born in Evansville, Indiana, on July 23, 1971, to the late Darrel Truman Bruce and Patricia Lois Adcock.

Della's dedication to her career and patients as a CNA at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for 16 committed years was unmatched, and her tough yet fair persona was beloved by her many colleagues.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, John Weister; step-sister, Becky; her former husband, Timothy Jones; and loving former in-laws, Sid and Ruby Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Danielle, Kayla, and Dustin; two grandchildren, Skyler and Lilly; her three sisters, Tricia, Murlena and Sierra; her brother, Darrel; and a large loving work family.

Della's nurturing spirit and vivacious attitude will forever live in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. She was strong willed yet always attempted to be thoughtful and honest.

She will be sorely missed by the many people in life she has met and made an impact on.
