In addition to her parents, Delsie was preceded in death by her husband, James Gray Bovender, who died in 1945 serving in WWII on Iwo Jima; five sisters and two brothers. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia (Jimmy) Hailey of Winston-Salem, Almeda Rothrock (Lynn) of Winston-Salem, Linda Nance (Richard) of Horse Shoe, seven grandchildren, Ron Hailey (Michelle), Gary Hailey ( Penny), Pam Hunter ( Randy), Vicki Rothrock, Jimmy Hailey, Jr. ( Ginger), Jeff Nance ( Hannah), Jennifer Mullis (Drew), twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
