Dena Caroline Stephenson Campbell

Dena Caroline Campbell (nee Stephenson), a beloved wife and mother passed away at home in High Point, North Carolina on August 28, 2024. Dena was born in St. Mary, Jamaica on June 17, 1950.

Dena’s formative years were spent with her parents, Noel and Icilda Stephenson and her extended family in St. Mary. She later married Vincent Campbell, with whom she had two daughters. The family emigrated to the United States where she lived for several decades.

Dena was a florist, who owned and operated her own flower shop and later in life was a nurse’s assistant. She was a woman of strong faith who was very active in her church. Dena was a generous and hospitable lady, who had a warm personality and welcoming smile. She loved to stay busy and would often be found in the kitchen preparing meals for friends and family. 

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Vincent and daughters Yanique McLeod, husband Wesley, Thasya Campbell and her "adoptive" children. 

Viewing will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday September 14, 2024, at Life Community Church. Service at 12 p.m, followed immediately by interment at Guilford Memorial Park. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
